MLB

If you`re a Yankees fan, life must suck right now. The Red Sox beat the Yankees at home last night, 6–2. Bogaerts and Schwarber both went deep against Cole; resulting in his early departure at the start of 3rd inning. Eovaldi showed up tonight, going for 5.1 IP, 1 ER, and 8 Strikeouts. Verdugo also knocked in a couple of runs in the 6th and 7th, leading the Sox to the 6 runs in the victory. The Red Sox will now head to Tampa Bay to face the Rays in a best of 5 series.

NFL

The Carolina Panthers have acquired former Defensive Player of the Year and All Pro Cornerback, Stephon Gilmore. Gilmore hasn`t played this year due to a torn quad, which resulted in surgery. He is expected to return in a couple of weeks. This is Carolina`s 2nd trade for a Cornerback in the recent weeks, after acquiring former 1st round pick, CJ Henderson from the Jaguars.

Matt Nagy has finally gotten his shit together and come to his senses, by starting Justin Fields at QB. Fields hasn`t been spectacular this season compared to his production in Preseason. He is completing 48.1% of his passes and has thrown for 347 yards and 2 interceptions. He has also rushed for 55 yards and 1 touchdown. Fields will be going up against the Las Vegas Raiders this week.

NBA

The status on Kyrie Irving stills remains in question as it is believed to be that he is not vaccinated. If Irving is not vaccinated, he will not be able to participate in home games and practices for the NBA season. The Nets have been patient with Irving, but time will tell if he decides to get the vaccine or remain out for the foreseeable future. Steve Nash, the Nets Head Coach, also commented that the Nets will not switch venues for their practices to accommodate Irving.
